Book preferred gynae

Hello mummies. Can I check if I call nuh hotline to book my preferred gynae, will I get it on the spot, or they will get back to me in a few more days?#pregnancy

It depends on the availability of your preferred gynae. Will have to check for slot and your EDD too. Most likely wont be on the spot.

NUH subsidised route

Hi all! I'm in W5 now and made my first appt with NUH through polyclinic. The appt will be in 2 weeks time. Can anyone share their experience going through NUH subsidised route? Thanks! #firstpregnancy

New Mum! Trying to get into SGH subsidised route.

I’m a new & very excited first time mum who has been TTC for 2 years-ish. I am now 6 weeks pregnant, have already been to the polyclinic to get a referral to SGH for SGH subsidised route. (Initially doct wanted to refer me to KKH, but I requested for SGH.) The poly doctor mentioned it’d take 2 days for SGH to schedule my first SGH appointment date with me via SMS/call but it has been more than a week. 1) Does it take a while for SGH to get back to us? Should I just call SGH? 2) Do we usually get to choose the dates? (Ie. Just wondering cause my husband works shifts.) 3) What should I expect of the first SGH appointment? (Ie. procedures, price.) #advice #firsttimemom

Honestly just go for private, less headache & hassle. Private and you wouldn't need to be asking or worrying about all these. Why would you scrimp and save especially on your long awaited (2 yrs ) baby???

Brown discharge

Hi, I'm at 5 weeks-ish. Going for 1st scan on 16th July. But I've been having brown discharge for the past few days. I feel fine, nothing ordinary. I don't have any symptoms as well. Should I be worried? My pregnancy was confirmed after the 2 weeks wait from the embryo transfer (Natural Thaw Cycle). My HCG blood test was over 2000. Any advise?

Hello, brown discharge varies across women and could be due to implantation bleeding. And it’s also normal not to have symptoms at this very early stage. Also, is this your first pregnancy / conception?

First Antenatal appointment

Hey mamas! I'm 6 weeks pregnant now and we'll have our first Antenatal visit next week at KKH. Any advice on what important questions to ask the doctor? What packages do they offer and what's the recommended one? Thank you!! ❤️

If it via IVF? Cause I had my first scan at 4 weeks not 6. Questions would be the do’s and don’ts. Packages are only offered later in the pregnancy.

Supplement (Omega-3 Fish Oil)

Hi! I’m a 27F and 3-week pregnant. I’ve been reading articles online on what supplements to take. Many articles recommended Omega-3 Fish Oil. So I would like to check with y’all, which brand of Omega-3 Fish oil have y’all been taking? Should I be concerned about the mercury level in those supplements? If yes, How do you check the mercury level? #worried #firs1stimemom #firstmom

Yes same, my gynae only prescribed it in the 2nd trimester Person above - I think it’s the same gynae ☺️
