Hospital packing list

For admission for delivery, is it necessary to bring milk bottles? Noted that it was not in the hospital packing list Or will the hospital be providing the milk bottles (if needed) Also is it necessary to bring dishwashing liquid there to wash nursing cups etc #advicepls

No need to bring bottles, they have those small disposable not for sale formulas in a disposable bottle. My cleansing liquid was provided in my hospital goodie bag but safer to bring along in case they don’t have that this year.

I see most posts mentioning that for some reason Drs are promoting c-sect for the smallest common pregnancy symptom(s). In the past, Women gave birth without such options. We, as mothers should always ask qns and be aware by educating ourselves. Time to call out on this money making strategy. Hosp trips, appts, scans, medications etc aint CHEAP in Singapore.

Hi, i am 12w 2d pregnant. By now, i need to start taking some supplements like obimin and prenatal DHA (given by the hospital). The problem is, i am too scared to swallow big pills and big capsules. Can i just take fish oil capsule instead? #pleasehelp

Congestion and Sleep

Currently week 15 going 16. Was down with flu cough and fever during week 10 and after that all the way till now i have been having nose congestion and stuff nose almost the entire day and night. (Pregnancy rhinitis?) When its sleep time, I feel so stress that I am unable to breathe properly and causes me to be super fidgety and cant sleep every night. Gynae did prescribe allersin for me to take every night till no symptoms, but I am still congested.. I feel so helpless. When will this go away?

I think I have Rihinitis too, I saw on google it won’t go until after you give birth. Mine is i can stop sneezing and each sneeze is very very hard sneeze. It will come every few hours and it’s always 5-10 sneezes

2nd trimester - Acid reflux ?

Hi mummies, is acid reflux common for you all too ? It always triggers cough for me, and feels very uncomfortable like cannot eat much…

i haven't experienced acid reflux so far. gg to 18 weeks. prob 3rd tri?

Nausea at 5 months

Is it normal to feel nauseous at 5th month? not the serious puking everynow and then, but feel nauseated day to day esp on car/plane.

High blood pressure

Hi Mummies. I'm in my 36 week +1. Just stop taking aspirin yesterday. Had my Gynae appt today. Blood pressure was high. Total of measuring blood pressure till 4th time then the clinic staff say it was OK. Gynae mention there was a trend of going upward for my blood pressure. Might need/possible of delivering early or c-sect if it continues, but say we try to tahan and monitor first see how it goes. Any suggestion how I can keep my blood pressure low? Understand from Gynae is caused by pregnancy and not based on what we eat... Any mummies experiences the same as me, but manage to bring the blood pressure down and maintain it...

Try drinking celery with green apple juice. Worked well for my dad when he had high blood pressure.

Week 34, frequent contractions but comes and goes.

Is it normal to experience contractions everyday? Am week 34, its not consistent but throughout the day comes and goes. And past few days will have slight diarrhoea once or twice a day… Tummy hard like bball when stand up start walking, but ok after awhile. Is it labour is near?

I’m also curious about her question - what does Braxton hicks feel like? Is the cramp / contraction you are referring to similar to a mild menstral cramp? I feel this when I sit up for long hours… but it doesn’t last long after lying down (maybe 10 mins?) I’m 35 weeks btw

Premature baby's age

My precious little baby boy was born premature at 33weeks. How do I count or when do I start counting his age? The nurse said that he is still counted by term. I don't quite understand. Can anyone enlighten me? #firsttimemom #advicemommies #firstmom
