Post natal massage

I see all of post natal massage are of a few sessions in a package. And obviously no trial to try out first before committing. I came across Mummycare Therapy. Has anyone used them before? Any reviews? I would prefer tcm/meridian style of massage and trying to see if there are other options out there other than madam partum.

Hmm honestly I haven't personally tried Mummycare Therapy before so I don't want to give you inaccurate review lah! But for TCM and meridian style postnatal massage you are on the right track because that style is really good for helping with wind, water retention and overall recovery after delivery. Other than Madam Partum you can also consider checking out Hibamama, Postnatal Shifu, or even some TCM clinics like Eu Yan Sang and Thomson TCM that offer postnatal massage packages, and for honest reviews I would suggest checking their Google reviews and also post in Singapore Mummies Facebook group because mummies there very vocal and will give you very honest feedback whether good or bad one haha!

Delivery charges Dr Edwin Thia from Mt E

Hi Mummies! I would like to seek advices on how much are the delivery charges for Dr Edwin Thia from Mount E? & will the hospital + delivery fees total up to be $20k if i were to deliver in Mount E? I am not able to find information about his delivery charges. It would be great if there are sources for the average delivery fees in singapore? Thank you in advance!

Can I get more feedback on Dr Edwin Thia from Mt E novena? Is his stitching skill good?

Hi! I'm seeing Edwin Thia and giving birth to my #4 in Feb 2024. His clinic had moved to Royal Square Medical Centre #15-05/06, I must say he's a very attentive and considerate gynae. He helped to delivered my #3, his stitching skill is very 👍👍👍 even TMC nurses asked me who's my gynae cos the stitching was really excellent.

Pregnancy lethargic at workplace.

How do mummies to be fight their sleepiness/lethargic at workplace/office? Yawnx😮‍💨🥱. I drank chicken essence, drink milk tea for breakfast cuz cannot no caffeine totally 🫤

caffeine is fine. i drink 1 cup a day almost everyday

18 weeks and Hungry every 3 hours

Does mummies out there feel the same as I do? I'm hungry every 3 hours and I wake up in wee hours feeling hungry and I have to eat 2 to 3 slice of bread to feel better

not for me apparently. i still dont have big appetite even though im 17 weeks now

When to pay confinement nanny?

Anyone has experience with Super Nanny services? I always thought that we only need to pay the confinement nanny on her last day of work. Super nanny email replies are really slow, and today when they sent over the contract, I noted that we are supposed to pay her 14 days after she start work and not on her last working day. Is this the norm?

Oh, payment terms can actually vary quite a bit between agencies! From what I've heard, most nannies arranged directly or through smaller agencies do expect full payment on the last day in cash, someone in my mum group mentioned paying the balance of around $2,850 on the final day, with just a deposit upfront to secure the booking. That said, agencies like Super Nanny can set their own instalment schedules, so the 14-day mid-point payment isn't unheard of, it's just their specific arrangement rather than a universal norm. The main thing to watch is that you're comfortable with the terms before signing, because once it's in the contract, it's harder to push back. If their email response is slow now, it might be worth calling them directly to clarify before you commit.

Private CN or Agency

Hi everyone, I've been on a lookout for CN and can't seem to decide on one. The private hire CN seems to be more experienced and at least I talked to her before, but I am worried as my pregnancy is considered high risk and I'm not sure if she'd be available if I were to deliver earlier.. that being said I'm also unsure of insurance and levy costs...private nanny need to pay for these? I only know abt these things from quotation from agency... currently considering CA or PEM... any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated... thank you...

yes private nanny also need to pay. i had experience with both and let me tell you better to go for agency because they cover everything for you! it’s such a relief because you will be too busy and tired to think about all these. my private CN also was like crap and we fired her one week in, couldn’t find a replacement after. agency would have it settled. i went with PEM and had a very good experience.

Losing mucus plug at week 17?

i think i lose some mucus plug when i was pooping. Been using quite a bit of force when pooping yest and today as im constipated. And today i saw yellow gooey discharge coming out after pooping. Its different from the usual discharge. I know mucus plug will regenerate, but do i need to see my gynae asap? No contraction or leaking fluid at the moment, but im worried. Anyone experienced early loss of mucus plug and continue to have healthy baby? I hope its not preterm labour 😞

doubt it’s mucus plug, probably just some discharge
