Very. I got to know my baby’s gender at 13 weeks and not to forget my gynae’s machine is old 😂

Breast lumps before pregnancy

Hi mummies to be, I have fibroadenomas (lumps) in my breasts before my pregnancy and I have been going to kkh every year for ultrasounds for review. For my current pregnancy, I experienced bleeding for quite some time and was given duphaston n proluton jabs. Was worried that these hormone pills might affect the lumps but yet it seems necessary to take them to support my pregnancy. Just wondering if any mummies had similar experiences. Thank you in advance.

I don't have such experience. I wish you a speedy recovery and healthy pregnancy. You better talk to your doctor and get your doubts cleared dear mum.

I'm in my 10 weeks of pregnancy. I have recently be eating even up to 5 times a day , mostly meals. But I'm not gaining any weight? Even if I gain 1kg the next few days I would lose the weight and be back at my original weight. Should I be worried?#1stimemom #advicepls

If baby is gaining well, no need to worry about mummy’s weight :)

I don't feel any movement and no appetite at my 14 weeks 2 days.

Is this normal?

I don't think you can feel the movements that early. I'm at 15wks but no appetite too.

Just got a call from KK and they informed me that i’m a thalassemia carrier. :( Has anyone here have any experience being a thalassemia carrier during pregnancy? What’s the risk etc?

I did a blood test last month and the gynae told me I “may have thalassemia” hence advised me to take two dosage of vitamin D daily. Did they ask your partner to take a blood test too? Because they asked us to take to check if the baby is at risk

Less food intake

Hi im 19 weeks pregnant and I have only been eating abt 1-2meals per day. Is it normal? I don't feel hungry and always feel bloated

It is normal that during pregnancy we get bloated easily. This is due to hormones and body going through changes where our womb expands with growing baby. To avoid feeling bloated, have small small meals, eat slowly, you can drink like sparkling water/100 plus to release gas in the body, never skip meals. Always ensure you have balance diet through this pregnancy. Reduce food intake like salt, sugary or junk food. You can have multiple meals in a day as long as it small meals.

Medisave maternity package

Hi, has anyone tried using this package? If we are Singaporean do we need to state that we want to use this package using our medisave or it’s automatically included. But even if we use this package, we still need to top up some cash correct? Interested to hear some experiences as the people not sure of this. Also, for us to be included in this package, during labour/delivery, do we sign to use husband’s medisave for the delivery charges or we need to use our own medisave?

MMP max redemption is $900 via medisave once you provide all the invoices (paid during scans before birth) upon admission (usually done by hubby). There is also a max cap on how much you can use your medisave (regardless of you or your spouse) to deduct your hospital bill. If you’re going the subsidised route (normal delivery) most likely you’ll only need to fork out little to no cash. I am a private patient at TMC so on top of the $4K medisave deducted and $900 medisave refund, I still had to top up $4K cash.

My gynae is Dr Claudine Tan. Anyone did c-sect with her? How was the experience, stitching skills and the wound healing ok? I’m more inclined to do c-sect than natural because my pain tolerance is low and scared may end up emergency c-sect :( #firsttimemom

how about epidural? do you know the c sect recovery is more painful and longer term..
