Heartburn and gastric pains

Anyone feeling heartburns and gastric pains in the upper tummy during 4-5 weeks in pregnancy?

Yes this is normal, especially so if you have morning sickness. Do speak to your gynae.

How to manage constipation?

Am in week 4 - week 5 of pregnancy and I realised that I'm getting constipation even though I'm eating lesser (due to the feel of full) and more balanced meals but stil having constipation and abit gassy/bloated. I do also drink plenty of water. Any useful remedy to manage constipation and the bloated feeling?

Private or Public Route?

Hi! I’d like to know if I were to make an appointment with a specific consultant of my choice from SGH, am I considered as a private or public patient?

Private. Under subsidised, you cannot choose gynae.

7weeks pregnant

Im 7weeks pregnant. Still no baby heartbeat. Is it normal?

Did your gynae said anything after the check up? If you are worried, you can arrange another appointment with another gynae and ask for advice.

What to expect for the first hospital appointment after finding out that you have conceived?

For mine, just ultrasound > take multivamins > done. All the way till before giving birth, same routine (other than detailed scan).

What are your Antenatal Packages like (private hospital)?

Doing my research on antenatal packages. Currently expecting first baby at 6 weeks so haven't seen a gynae yet probably will wait till 8 weeks. Anyone have experience with Parkway east hospital or any other private hospitals?

Gave birth at Gleneagles. The nurses there are very nice and helpful. Food are yummy too.

Hi mummies, I’m having a little sharp pain on my left stomach. Wondering is it normal?

i'm experiencing the same too sometimes. it says because our womb is expanding or something idk just keep a lookout for any spotting and tell ur gynae

Week 5 Pregnant and brown/pink discharge?

Hi, based on App, I'm at 5 weeks pregnant and have tested positive twice on digital kit. This week is supposed to be my menses week, and I started noticing pink/brown discharge when I wiped my private part. I'm not sure if it's a concern. My first last menses was 14 Apr... so on 14 May, I had this similar pink/brown discharge, which I mistook for menses blood. 15 May: I only tested when I noticed why the so-called menses blood only lasted, not even a day? 18 May: similar pink/brown discharge 19 May: similar pink/brown discharge Does this warrant a concern or known as spotting? I'm worried. My intention was to obtain a KKH subsidised appointment. Or should I go to a private GP tomorrow to check?

I too had 3 days of spotting when it was supposed to be time for my period. Stopped after that. Then I took the pregnancy test and it showed up positive. I suspect it’s what they call ‘implantation bleed’ but really not sure.

Choice of hospital

I've been with KKH for everything since I went through IVF to get pregnant. No complaints so far, staff are very nice.

Depression while pregnant

I had a fight with hub though we are ‘ok’ now but i still feel insecure. I know he has been stressed at work i really wish not to disturb of bother him but i have been really really moody lately suddenly emo suddenly happy. I have depression few years back too. It is the same feeling that repeats over again… 😪😪 i get urge to self harm but then my brain will signal me i had baby and i cry all over again. I just felt so valuable and empty rn.

Hey is there anyone else that you can talk to? It's impt for u not to bottle ur emotions up. Sort out your thoughts and ask your husb to do the same. Maybe it's better to talk about what's going on when both of you are more clear headed. As difficult as it is, it's so impt to have positive thoughts and be in a safe environment when ure pregnant. I hope all will be well with you and your family. Sending hugs and love your way. Remember that you're not alone ❤️
