I think you should Daycare is one of the options. Your kid will be looked after by trained professionals and there will be many other kids to give him company. Also having a full-time maid is also viable. But if you keep a maid, you must put CCTV cameras in your home so that you can monitor whatever is happening at home when you are at work. Since, you will be able to monitor your child, you will be at ease when you are out. Check out this link. http://sonomacounty.citymomsblog.com/mom/nanny-vs-day-care/
I guess as working mum we have no choice but to entrust our kid to someone whom we will feel at ease to look after. Luckily I've got my mil and will be hiring a helper to take care of my kid. I wouldn't feel safe entrusting my kid to just helper alone after seeing so many recent news on helper case. Maybe u can try checking w your parents or in laws to help in taking care of your kid while you are at work.
By someone else, do you mean nannies or child care professionals? If it bothers you so much, are there any other options? Maybe your parents or in laws? I'm sure they will take care of your child well and you can have ease of mine. Alternatively, before hiring a nanny, you could conduct thorough interviews and background checks so as to ensure the best for your child.
