Fibriods and Utrogestan
Hi! Wonder if anyone has fibriods (multiples but less than 5, and one is 5cm large) and was prescribed Utrogestan? It is my first pregnancy and no bleeding or cramps. Have been prescribed 400mg twice daily for 2 weeks and now another 3 weeks. Doctors do not recommend reduced dosage though the side effects amplified my morning sickness, bloatedness and mood swings

I haven't dealt with fibroids myself, but honestly the side effects you're describing sound pretty tough to manage on top of pregnancy nausea already. Since your doctor isn't open to adjusting the dose and you're struggling, it might be worth going back to them with a detailed log of how the symptoms are affecting you day-to-day so they can see the full picture and reconsider if there are other options that could work better for you. The thing is, Utrogestan is prescribed for a reason in your case, but if the trade-off is making your pregnancy miserable and they haven't explained why lower doses won't work for your specific situation, that's worth pushing back on gently with your PD or OB.

It is to prevent bleeding and encourage more rest because it makes me super drowsy so I only take once a night right before bed. When I went to check up at 9 weeks the doctor assess the baby is okay and to stop. It should be continued to prescribe for first trimester as a western “an tai yao”
