From health care provider view, please do shave your private part, if you are planning to deliver in govt hospital. C-sec: it is compulsory to be shaved because the incision is made just above your pubic bone. So make sure the area near pubic bone is clean, so that less risk of infection. Normal delivery: It is true that some say that nurses or doc are already seen variety of female private parts. Some are clean, some are bushy. But, it is better to leave your part shaved before going to labour room. To minimize risk of infection and ingrown hair, which can also leads to infection afterwards.

Because usually at govt hospital, the usually do not have time to shave for us. Labour room is the busiest place in hosp i think. Unless if u are going for emergency c-sec.

I shaved before going to the clinic. but im not sure i shaved it well. it was really hard having that bump. haha. ive tried normal labor but the midwife said i had to undergo cs operation, so before the operation the hospital nurse shaved below.. my advice make sure you shave before your scheduled delivery..

I had a natural delivery, and i shaved. Well for me i always shave, feels more comfortable. Maybe cause im used to it. As for the nurses and doctors, im sure it does not matter to them. Its the everyday usuals for them. Unless you are going to have a c-sec the choice is all yours. :)

The hospital nurses won't shave, but I myself have a habit of shaving so will continue to do so (37 weeks pregnant now). Very hard to shave now

C-Sec- Nurse will help u shave e necessary part . Not all. Just the part doctor will cut. No worries if u don't shave urself

I went thru natural delivery and wasn't shaved. The gynaes has probably sent all kinds of uhm, lady parts so I doubt it bothers them.

This is very useful information. I'd try to make it a point to be hair free down there before delivery. Get the hubs to help.

No, it doesn't matter to the nurses and doctors performing the delivery as long as it doesn't interfere with the delivery.

thanks
