My husband and I have never gone out on a date since we've had kids. It has been our set up and we got used to it. We can't imagine going out and having fun without the kids on sight. Our dates are always family dates and personally, I am happy with it.
Honestly, kids tend to lessen alone time among wives and husbands. I personally don't often take my wife out without the kids but she competely understands. I just make sure to increase more of our quality time, even if it's just within our home
