You should try the coastal areas like Nha Trang and Mui Ne. I feel these are much more child friendly as compared to the bigger cities like Ho Chin Minh and Hanoi. You can take the kids to the seaside, explore natural landscapes like deserts and visit cultural places like museums etc.
