When to have a baby

One of my professors told me that his wife and him purposely conceived in April/May so that all their children were born in either January or February. Apparently there's this study showing that children born earlier in the year tend to be more mature and responsible because when they go to school, they will be "older". Developmentally, they'll be ahead because of their birth dates compared to a child born in December. Don't know how true this is but my professor isn't the only one who thinks this way. I found an article about parents in the UK preferring to give birth in the Fall instead of Summer because of similar reasons.
