Which is of a lesser evil? thumb sucking or sucking on pacificer? my son (3mths old) has a tendency to suck his thumbs.. so whenever he does so, I will let him suck on the pacificer instead..

Thumb sucking is harder to wean off , pacifier can just throw away but thumb you cannot cut away . So if your baby needs something to suck is better to give pacifier then let baby suck his own thumb .
