it actually depends on your life and parenting style. we did BLW mainly because I want to establish independence to my child early through feeding, hence me and her dad can eat freely too. what i observe too is she is more adventurous with foods, can eat her food well since she practiced chewing early on, and at 3 yo she can notice if something's wrong with her food.
