May I ask if it is absolutely important to give ketchup? The reason I am saying this is because ketchup is loaded with preservatives and is not at all good for anyone, let alone children. Personally, I never eat ketchup, and thankfully, my kids have learned by example and don't eat it either. When needed, I make different chutneys at home, such as tomato chutney, coriander chutney, mint chutney and such, and the freshness and taste is way better than what you buy from the store.

It depends on your preference. My kid likes Maggi, though Heinz is equally good. You can try giving him giving both, and get the one he likes the most. But if your kid is small why don't you try homemade chutneys instead. It is more the batter if any condiment is homemade. There are many preservatives in the sauce, so wait to introduce your baby to the sauce if he is too young. http://www.dnaindia.com/money/report-dna-right-choice-choosing-the-best-ketchup-1742545
