Several people swear by the Khamis Roche method which takes in to account the parents height, and the childs current height when making a prediction. Remember genetics counts for 70% of a childs height, and 30% is due to nutrition and exercize so it is important to take parents heights in to consideration. This method has several calculations so please look for a calculator online. Another method would be to see what percentile your child is on his current growth chart (your Health Booklet has growth charts in the appendix, or the CDC growth charts can be used but note the latter are based on American children), and extrapolate that to estimate what his eventual height will be. A final method that people use for unborn kids is the gray Method that also uses the parents heights as an indicator. Calculators for this are also available online but the margin of error, as you'd imagine, is quite large.
