When to stop wearing socks for baby ?

I removed mittens and booties at around 2 months old. My girl hardly wears socks at home unless it's very cold, which is once in a blue moon. She only wears socks/shoes when she goes outdoors. Chinese believe after 1 then can wear shoes or at least when they start to walk.
