It's okay if you don't have everything at once. Buy the important ones first, for the rest, take your time and can check out baby fair and online shopping.
Second trimester or Third trimester you can start to buy necessary stuff first. as for clothing, dont buy too many newborn cloth as they will outgrow it.
I did at my 9 months, cause supposed to stay active for smooth natural birth. & house got no space. Leave it till the last month for myself

start researching first...then can buy slowly from baby fairs etc :)
I started buying when I was 7 months pregnant at baby fairs. :)
