The earliest movement are often described as flutters and are called quickening. These can be felt as early as 13 to 16 weeks. Also, first-time mothers may not feel it as early as second-time mothers. For ladies who are pregnant for the first time, it is common for them to feel the first movement at around 18 to 20 weeks. Since every pregnancy is different, the broad range of the first detection of movement is between 13 to 25 weeks.
