Oil/lotion/gel for newborn

What product do you use to moisturiser newborn's skin and is it the same for doing massage? I'm thinking of using aloe vera gel but not sure if that's appropriate.

I use Ceradan moisturizer or QV moisturizer. But will need to test patch on baby first to see if there’s any reaction
