I was at a department store a few weeks ago and I saw manual breast pumps for sale. Correct me if I'm wrong but why would someone need a manual breast pump if there are automatic ones available. It is marketed as an item that will be useful if you are away from baby and cannot find an electronic socket but with regular breast pumps getting more smaller and convenient to carry around, I really don't see why a manual breast pump is needed. Moreover, if it is really an emergency, mommies usually hand express the milk.
I think the diaper genie wins hands down. In my experience, a regular waste bin (with a lid) works just fine.
