Use one will do. detergent is to get rid of dirt and sweat. Softener is to make cloth softer n fresh. If for baby’s, both are mild. Both are ok. Just take use one it’s fine. Don’t worry. I use softener cos baby doesn’t sweat. Just make e cloth softer n fresh n smell good also. lol.
