38wks today with 2cm diluted and 10mins contraction interval

Went to the hospital today and doc said i am having contraction at every 10mins. 2cm diluted already. But was told to go home and come again tmw morning at 8.30am to meet the doctor. I am at 38weeks exactly today. At the same time was told to come to hospital any time i feel like im going into labour. Wonder how long till i go into delivery

Wah exciting exciting, baby is coming very soon lah! At 2cm dilated and contractions every 10 minutes you are in early labour already, so the doctor sent you home because early labour can sometimes take many hours or even a day or two before things really pick up and progress to active labour. Just monitor your contractions at home and go back to hospital immediately if your water bag breaks, contractions become stronger and closer together like every 5 minutes, or if you feel very strong urge to push, and please make sure your hospital bag is packed and ready by the door tonight because at 38 weeks with 2cm dilated things can move quite fast, jiayou mummy you are almost there!

anyway, gave birth to healthy baby girl few hours after my post. hehe

i gave birth at 34+6 weeks.. 2cm diluted can sometimes be very fast like 3cm to 10cm only 3 hours.. monitor ur contraction if it comes in 5mins prepare to go to hospital.. or if water breaks straight go to hospital... all the best
