One of my mum friends managed to conceive her second on the first or second try at 34, but then found it much harder again a few years later, so even within the same person, every pregnancy journey can be quite different. The honest truth is there is no fixed number, and comparing with others can sometimes make you feel worse than it helps. That said, if you have been trying for a while without success, it is really worth going to see a specialist soon rather than waiting, they can check everything properly and give you a clearer picture of what is actually going on.
