Vitamin K anyone took?

Vitamin K for newborns anyone allowed doctor to do so once your baby is born? Did anyone refuse it? I am afraid doctors push you into getting it and I don’t find it necessary. Afraid of its side effects too!! Went for birth class and my doula told me we can refuse it. Please share your experiences mommies♥️♥️♥️
