Is DC painful?

Undergoing DC next week due to slow fetal growth and gynae confirmed pregnancy is not viable.. I’m suppose to be 11 week but baby is 6 week size with no heartbeat. Anyone who went through DC care to share your experience? Is it painful after the procedure? Did you manage to conceive successfully after DC?
