Birthday toddler

Do toddlers 2years old remember if we celebrate their birthday? My husband is not in favour of celebrating it cos he said my son wont remember .. What do u all think?

kids like to experience new things... birth day party is also a experience to him which make him happy... celebrating or not upon on parent's decision
