Any recommendations for child developmental specialist in SG?
My toddler(20 months) is super or in other words hyperactive.. he hasn't spoken a word yet.. and I am worried 🙁 Need referral of a doctor who is empathetic and guide on his developmental progress.
I think at 20 months with no words yet, it is worth getting a referral sooner rather than later, because early intervention really does make a difference. You can start at your polyclinic and ask for a referral to KKH or NUH's child development unit, where the developmental paediatricians are generally quite thorough and will walk you through next steps properly. It may feel like a long road at first, but having a specialist assess him gives you a clearer picture and a real plan to work with, which honestly takes a lot of the worry off your shoulders.
