Double barreled Race

This thought just came to my mind... Since now its very common for babies to have double barreled race, it just occurred to me why are all Indian-Chinese babies referred to as Chindian? I know majority of Indian-Chinese families, dad is Indian while mum is Chinese so shouldn't baby be referred to as Indianese instead? Of course if daddy is Chinese then by all means, Chindian! ? ? ?
