When to buy breast pump?

I bought baby express and it does its job equally well for 18m. I won’t spend a few hundred on a pump just incase I end up only pumping for a short period (just my own POV). You can wait first then if baby really don’t wanna latch or you’re too tired to latch, you can always purchase from shopee using next day delivery :) I personally intended to EP from the start so I purchase during my hospital stay (after LC measured my nipple size so I can purchase the flange inserts together).

Recommend getting just the hospital grade pump e.g Spectra. Good to try to breastfeed as there are many benefits to it! I'm an undersupply mom, baby drinks more than what I have so I supplement with formula. I still give milk and pump as much as I can. Managed to do it for 6 months with my firstborn and almost a year with my 2nd.

As a second time mom, I will advise that you'll only need a hospital grade pump,eg, Spectra S1 or S2, for the initial stage to regulate your supply. You can easily get them at carousell at a fraction of retail price. After that, you can use any portable pump in the market. You don't need to spend a bomb.

I had a hospital grade pump, and handsfree pump, and I much prefer the hands free one coz I'm not strapped to the machine, and somehow the hands free one gave me better yield. I bought the Cubble one, so it's not too expensive either.
