Any TCM remedies for cough, flu and fever?

5y trước

TCM treatment for any condition needs to be specific to the syndrome type of the condition. Therefore, without additional details (eg. For whom it is for, what are the symptoms etc), we would not be able to advise on any TCM self-help treatment methods. Instead, you can do scraping for the Bladder Meridian along the back, as a prevention for cough, flu and fever, rather than as a remedy. It will help improve the immune system. Hence, it also means you should only do this while you are not ill. Do take note not to do this too hard, only do it within the acceptable pain threshold and until the skin is slightly red with red dots. Do note this may not be suitable for children that are too young.

How can I prevent menstrual pains?

5y trước

In TCM perspective, during the menstruation period, excessive blood is gathered in the thoroughfare vessel meridian and conception vessel meridian, making them prone to stagnation, which will result pain. Therefore, any factor that can contribute to the stagnation should be avoided as much as possible. This includes cold drinks and food, excessive stress and being overworked etc. In the event that the menstrual pain is already happening, here are a few acupuncture points you can press to relieve the pain 1. LI4 Hegu(合谷)- On the back of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones. 2. LV3 Taichong(太冲) - On top of the foot in a depression close to the junction of the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones. 3. SP10 Xuehai(血海) - With the knee bent 90 degrees, 3 fingers width above the top of the knee cap, 45 degrees towards the inner side of the thigh. These may help to relieve the pain. However do seek help from a TCM physician if the condition persists or worsens.

What is facial acupuncture?

5y trước

Facial acupuncture is a natural skin rejuvenation technique that stimulates the body’s own self repairing mechanism and aging-reversal powers. It generates collagen, increases blood and lymph circulation and unblocks one’s vital energy. By doing so, it helps diminish lines and wrinkles, acne, enlarged pores, exhibiting a healthy glow. This holistic procedure involves the insertion of hair-thin acupuncture needles into meridian points of the face. These specific points are chosen to affect blood circulation and energy of the body according to the individual’s needs. Facial acupuncture does not only treat your face, it also works to balance your whole body and organ systems and get them working well. This is so that your face can exhibit the healthy glow from within, and not just skin deep. It is minimally invasive, natural and safe.
