#BabyMama
Before introducing solid food to our child we should always check out first for the signs of readiness for solid food. If your child can already hold their head up and sit upright in a highchair, shows significant weight gain (doubled birth weight) and weighs at least 13 pounds, can close their mouth around a spoon, and can already move food from the front to the back of their mouth then your child is likely ready to try solids. You can try these solids : Breast milk or formula, plus Pureed vegetables (peas, squash) Pureed fruit (apples, bananas, peaches) Pureed meat (chicken, pork, beef) Semi-liquid, iron-fortified cereal (avoid rice cereals; instead choose a cereal made with oats or barley) Small amounts of unsweetened yogurt (no cow's milk until age 1) As you introduce solids to your child you must also learn about the difference between choking and gaggling and the proper ways to deal with it. Always remember that breastmilk would always be the best for babies up to 2 yrs. old. 💗Mommy Nhel🫰 #BabyMama
Ngaun 3 years old na sha, marunong na sya kumain mag isa. 👶🥰 #BabyMama
My baby just turned 6 months yesterday. Nakapag-consult kami sa pedia last week at based sa advice ni Doc, pwede na kumain si baby pero paunti unti muna at simulan muna ng once a day. Ang unang pinakain namin ay SQUASH. Steamed tapos mashed/blender. Ngayong second time kumain ni baby mas nagustuhan nya. Ang iba pang food na pwede ipakain kay baby ay potato, sayote, kamote, avocado,or papaya as long as walang pampalasa like sugar and salt. Sabi ni Doc try muna namin pakainin ng same menu for 3 days at wag muna mag mix ng ibang food para kung may allergy ay mas madali malaman kung saan food sya allergic. Looking forward talaga ako sa araw-araw with my baby especially ngayong nakakakain na sya. Treasure natin moments like this Moms, cause ang balis ng panahon, one day sinusubuan pa natin sila sa pagkain, and then, sila na mismo bibili ng pagkaing kakainin nila 🥰 #BabyMama
My 2nd born just turned 6 months! And I know that this is her most awaited milestone because finally she'll have her first solid. But before introducing solids to your lo's please note the signs of readiness. My little one had a banana as her first solid since I can't find any avocado in our town. Why avocado? They are rich in fiber and healthy fats. They're great first food for babies. Unfortunately, can't find one so we opted for banana. If you're hesitant what kind of food to offer, you can search it on #TheAsianParentPh. Mostly, foods such as avocado, banana, sweet potato, broccoli and squash are being first to offer! Also, you need to offer that certain food for 3 days in a row to check if your baby has an allergy on it. Make sure that the foods that you offer are soft, easy to chew. Let your little one explore and enjoy on their first solid! #BabyMama
As a mom gusto natin lumaking healthy at hindi pihikan sa pagkain ang ating mga anak, hanggat maaari ay binibigay talaga natin lahat ng best natin para maprovide yung mga needs nila. Nung mag 6months si baby ang first food na pinakain ko sa kanya ay Avocado💚 nabasa ko sa isang article na isa daw to sa ideal food for baby's first solid, makakahelp din talaga ito sa growth and development nila. So far, simula sa eldest until now sa baby bunso namin ay ok na ok naman ang appetite walang pili sa food at sobrang hilig sa fruits and vegetables. If first time ka make sure lang na do a research para mas aware tayo sa kung ano ang pwede sa kanila and kung pano natin ito maipprepare ng tama. Siguraduhin na ioffer natin kay baby ang nutricious and healthy foods, tamang laki lang ang cut's, and yung soft or easy to chew😊 #BabyMama
Since my baby is still below 6 months, I don't have experience yet regarding feeding infants with solid food. But I constantly read and research so when the time comes I can feed her, I have basic knowledge na. Based from my research, If the baby can sit upright, that's the time you can feed him/her solid food. It can be on their 6th month, 7th, etc. The best solid food you can give them are those prepared at home, may it be pureed/mashed vegetables or they can be cut into smaller pieces if you want to do Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) and well-cooked meat for protein. You may also incorporate your breastmilk or formula milk for an added nutrition. I am planning to do BLW for my baby, and thanks to The Asian Parents community, I can learn and share from experiences. #Babymama
D ko pa sya thoroughly na research, pero upon Reading the other comments of my co-moms sa pa contest ng Asianparent Ph, madami akong natutunan😍abt what foods are allowed and not. Kudos mga momshies and thank u for sharing ur knowledge, expertise and experience. #Babymama
Ito ung mga na try ko kay LO nung nag 6mos sya. At saktong 6mos ako nagpakain sa kanya. Take note lang mommies sa mga bawal na ilagay sa food ni LO before sya mag 1 year. NO to: honey, salt and sugar and look-out for food allergens such as peanuts and soy. Puree: -Boiled apple -Boiled carrots -Chayote and spinach (no salt) -Chayote and malunggay (ground) Mashed: -Banana -Sweet potato -Corn and carrots -Avocado Pancake/ nuggets -Banana and Oats -Apple puree and Oats -Salmon and malunggay nuggets -Chicken nuggets (ground chicken with carrots, brocolli and malunggay) #Babymama
Little solid food is all that my baby requires. I include vegetables that aren't as sweet, like broccoli and cauliflower, in addition to the sweeter ones like carrots and sweet potatoes. This will help my baby become familiar to a variety of tastes. This may help him avoid developing into a picky eater as he gets older. Sugar and salt shouldn't be added to food for babies. Sugar can cause tooth decay, and salt is bad for babies' kidneys, so they shouldn't eat it. In order to identify the root of my baby's allergy, I also learned that if the baby is to be fed, only one type of fruit or vegetable should be consumed throughout the day so I can avoid it next time. #BabyMama
