Similac total comfort infant milk powder doesn’t mix well

Changed to Similac total comfort infant milk powder recently but realised it doesn’t mix well, even with lukewarm water. There seems to be a lot of clumps in the milk even after shaking for an extended period. Any advice from fellow mummies? Thank you! #firsttimemom #thankyou #firstbaby

Honestly, you're not alone, this formula is known to clump more than others, and it took me a while to figure out the trick too. The water temperature really matters; if it's not warm enough, the powder just won't dissolve properly, so try slightly warmer water than you think you need. Someone in my mum group swears by using a small whisk or spoon to stir first before shaking, and a few mums have also said a Dr. Brown's mixing pitcher made a huge difference in getting a smooth mix without all the foam. I'll be honest though, even with all these tricks, some mums still find it frustratingly clumpy and end up switching formulas altogether, so if the clumping doesn't improve, it may just not be the right fit for your routine.
