Eh, this is such a sweet share! My little one juga started with picture books around that age, and honestly there's something magical about watching them connect the real photos to the words, makes it so much more concrete than just cartoon pictures, you know? Your son is doing amazingly well with his vocab, pelat or not, because he's actually understanding what he's saying, that's the foundation lah! A few of us mum friends have found that books with real images really do seem to speed up the speech development, plus kids stay engaged longer because they recognize actual things around the house.
