Should I really wait til I'm 12 weeks before announcing my pregnancy?

I wanted to hold off announcing my current pregnancy but since I was really tired and sleepy all the time and need help from others, I had to tell earlier on. I managed to keep my second pregnancy until 6th month because I didn't show and had no morning sickness.
