Same here, will be doing “confinement” on my own with my hubby and also cooking my own meals, debated a long time if I should get confinement delivery but I prefer flexibility in my meal options and not restricted to just Chinese food. Having part time help with cleaning will be ideal but I haven’t got much luck getting part time helper so just going to not stress about the mess. Hopefully all works out fine🤞🏻

Get your partner to massage some lemongrass oil all over your body to get the “wind” out after giving birth. He can use gloves if he doesn’t want to get his hands hot and oily. Wear thick socks over compression ones. Don’t sleep directly in front or under the fan. Wear a binder or corset to hold your tummy together. Rest whenever baby is asleep.

I pump breast milk and zip lock them into a bag and kept in fridge for night pumping. (less washing in the night) but day time wash parts after every use. Power Nap when baby is asleep. Boil one big pot of longan red date tea and fill into insulated jar to keep it hot.

Use a tingkat service for meals (heard chilli padi is good- ex tho). Get part time help for housework. Don’t stress about keeping house neat even if you have visitors. The focus is you and the baby.

Go for postnatal massage or pelvic chiro if possible.
