Oh dear, poor little one, it does look uncomfortable, but please don't worry too much, this is actually quite common with babies. The key thing I've heard from other mums is to use a gentle, soap-free baby shampoo and to never scratch or pick at the flakes, as tempting as it looks, because it can hurt the skin underneath. Do make sure to pat the scalp dry properly after bath time, and avoid putting thick products on the area unless advised otherwise, some mums also mentioned avoiding anything with hydrocortisone or steroid unless a doctor has confirmed it's eczema and given proper instructions. That said, since every baby's skin is different, it's really best to have your little one seen by a paediatrician or skin specialist just to be sure and get the right treatment for your baby specifically. Wishing your precious one a speedy recovery!
