Empty gestational sac at 8 weeks memang can go either way, ada cases where baby catches up on next scan, tapi ada jugak yang tidak. Dokter tu tau best, so follow-up in 2 weeks is the right call. Kak, in the meantime, jangan stress diri sendiri too much (I know, easier said than done). A few of my mum friends shared similar experiences, some turned out okay, some didn't, but the uncertainty is the hardest part.
