We saw our daughter rubbing her private part with her pants on when she is about 3 or 4 years old. At first shes rubbing it with a pillow then in the edge of the bed. Then now she is 6 years old she is rubbing it with her arm. We kept telling her to stop it pero hindi sya nakikinig and I already told my husband na baka its time to ask a professional or a pedia about it baka pala may condition sya na di namin alam. Kasi very inappropriate sa isang bata na sa murang edad nya na magkaganyan, rubbing her private part with something, diba? Before I thought its normal lang kasi sabi may ganun talaga sa mga bata pero until now pala ginagawa pa rin niya. Gusto ko lang malinawan at sana may maka-help sa akin dito. Hey, I totally understand your concern kasi nakikita mo na it's been going on for quite some time na, from 3 to 6 years old na. Honestly, I think it's best na kausapin ninyo ang pedia about this dahil while some self-soothing behaviors are normal sa kids, the frequency and way she's doing it na paulit-ulit at hindi nakikinig sa reminders ay worth checking out, could be something simple like irritation, or baka may underlying reason na hindi lang obvious sa amin as parents. A few of my mum friends have brought similar concerns to their doctors din and nakita nila na may practical solutions depende sa actual reason, so don't hesitate na mag-consult, okay? Wag mag-stress too much, pero better safe than sorry talaga pag dating sa health ng mga bata natin.
