Am I able to get infantcare subsidies sorry for long post

SAHM; a son turning 2 in Jan, 10m girl, currently pregnant. Hubby works part time for now but plans to start full time in Jan. We don't hv a hse yet. I stay with my mom, younger bro & my 2 kids in a 3rm while he stays with his mom. He would come over weekly n sometimes sleep at my mom's. We plan to apply rental aft him working abt 3-4months, we both don't hv enuf cpf. I plan to put my son in sch n eventually my girl. So that I can focus on my baby n recover. I want to start working part time aft recovery. My mom's hse is at north. Her salary is less than 2.5k n bro is still a student. I'm planning to apply a sch at the north area. >Am I still able to get infantcare subsidies even if my husband lives in different hse? >If I apply rental can I get ard north area or I hv to trf my kid to another center >Any advice/things to note regarding infantcare or rental?#adviceappreciated

Aiyoh don't worry too much, your situation actually not that unusual! My friend in my mum's WhatsApp group was also a SAHM with a newborn and she managed to get the special approval subsidy from ECDA, basically because you're pregnant and caring for a baby under 2, they can count you as eligible for the working mum subsidy tier, so someone in the group said her infantcare fees came down to like $250-$350 a month which is so much more manageable lah. For the household income calculation, someone also mentioned that since you're staying with your mum and brother, ECDA will look at everyone in your household, so your mum's income below $2.5k and your bro being a student actually helps keep the per-capita income low, which is good for you! Regarding your husband's different address, best to call ECDA dirrectky.

Hey mama, you're juggling so much right now, respect to you! For the subsidy question, as long as you and your husband are legally married and his income is considered in the household income calculation, you should still be eligible for the Basic Subsidy and Additional Subsidy (means-tested) — his living arrangement separately shouldn't disqualify you, but I'd recommend calling MSF or checking directly with the infant care centre you're applying to, as they can advise based on your exact situation. For the rental flat, HDB rental allocation depends on availability so North area isn't guaranteed, but you can indicate your preference and they will try — if you do get shifted, most centres are understanding and you can request a transfer lah. Wishing you a smooth delivery and recovery, you've got this!
