BBQ during pregnancy

Hi! Would it be safe during pregnancy to attend a BBQ gathering? And consuming the BBQ food?

I would avoid.. But it should be alright as long as you avoid the fumes from the charcoal grill and make sure the food are cooked thoroughly.
