Pain on right side

Someone in my mum group mentioned this before, and a few of them said it turned out to be round ligament pain, where the ligaments supporting your growing uterus stretch and cause those sudden sharp, stabbing spasms near the belly button or right hip area. The tricky part is that round ligament pain usually passes quickly, so when yours lasted the whole night, that's the bit that would make me a little more cautious, it could also be dehydration or your uterus putting pressure on surrounding organs as baby grows. Most mums found it manageable once they knew what it was, but a pain that intense and prolonged really deserves a proper check rather than guessing.
