Husband In Labour Room

Is it possible if I request not to have my husband in labour room? When we had our first baby, he keep suffocating me with the breather, and keep pushing my thigh very hard until my leg become soo cramp. I can't hardly concentrate on pushing.. ? So this time, I just want to do it without him having to stress me.
