Hi! Sharing my experience. Pinag monitor din ako ni OB ng blood sugar. Same din ng sayo na 4x a day. Ang gusto ni OB below 140 ang sugar ko every after meal. Here's what I did po. Breakfast, oatmeal lang as in no milk or sugar. Plain oatmeal. Mataas talaga ang sugar natin every morning. Preggy man or hindi. Ang explanation po sakin is dahil tulog tayo ng gabi. Katawan na mismo natin nag aadjust para ma-maintain yung normal blood sugar. Lunch, half rice lang or boiled potatoes. Sa ulam, regular serving lang. Nilalagyan ko na lang ng salt and pepper kapag potatoes po kinakain ko. Miryenda, half slice lang po ng apple. Pwede rin buong saging or orange. Pinakabawal po grapes at ripe mango. No to shakes rin po. No to juices din. Dinner, 2 pcs wheat bread + any fruit + maternal milk. Sugar ko before yung diet ko, umaabot ng hanggang 250. During diet, highest ko is 139. Normal range na po ang sugar ko within one week of dieting. After 2 weeks, continue ko lang diet ko para lagi syang below 140. Unfortunately, may computation si OB sa mga nakuha kong numbers and ang diagnosis nya, uncontrolled yung sugar ko. So ayun, referred ako sa OB na humahawak ng may GDM. Good news is madadaan pa sa diet yung case ko. No need na mag add ng meds. Also, very healthy si baby. Nirefer lang ako para mabigyan ako ng mas specific na gagawin. Blood sugar ko kaninang after lunch is 127 lang. 😊
Hope this will help momshies...tumaas din kz sugar ko and i consult to dietician. Eto lng yung sinusunod ko . Importante more veggies , fish at chicken yung breast . Bawas muna sa pork. Tapos milk ko is glucerna sa 6 meal ko lng iniinom. Then fruits pwede pero slice lng mostly apple and peras lng kinakain ko afterlunch and diner. Rice naman pwede ying white rice 1c lng sa lunch and half cup lng sa dinner. Yung eating diet atleast 2to 3 hrs pagitan...ex 8bfast, 10:30 snack, 12to 1pm lunch, 4to 4:30snack, 7to 8 dinner then 10pm milk
Ang advice sakin ni ob is 2 hrs after meal ako mag check ng blood sugar. Talagang mataas ang result pag 1hr. Kaya pag nag tetake ng ogtt sa hospital laging 2-3x after uminom ng glucose. Doon marurule out ang gestational diabetes kung sa 2nd or 3rd blood extraction kung mataas ang blood sugar mo. Tsaka wag ka ng uminom ng maternal milk. Usually kasi matamis yon. Try lowfat or non fat milk or calcium supplement.
sakin po wheat bread or sky flakes lang every morning, rice ko pag lunch lang (half rice) mirienda sky flakes or boiled egg, dinner wheat bread. more on gulay (esp. ampalaya every other day ako) no meat as much as possible, no sweets at all and more water. Luckily, pinatigil na pag monitor ng blood sugar ko, pero tuloy padin ang diet. nag ra.random check lang ako minsan so far so good naman.
Hi mommy. They are right parang dapat 2 hours postprandial dapat ang pag check ng blood sugar. You can also work with a nutritionist. In most cases portions ng food ang need mo kasi control to see a difference sa blood sugar level. Like instead of just wheat bread opt for sugar-free bread kagaya ng walter sugar-free bread. Madami pa maiooffer sayo na advice ang nutritionist...better if you consult one.
Hi mataas dn sugar ko momshie ang napansin ko mataas dn ang wheat bread kc may sugar din silang nilalagay s tinapay mas mababa pa ang sugar ko s brown rice, then ngyn ngiinsulin ako kc nagpacheck ako s endo doc dahil mataas yung before breakfast ko. Ngyn ok na Try nyo din mag glucerna choco alternative sya s meal or snack nutritious tpos hnd mataas sugar kc yun din ang sbi sken ng doc.
hello momsh...i hope this will help,ako dn mtaas ogtt ko non,my OB referred me to a dietitian,sbi ni doc avoid fruits n d morning, tpos pinstop ni OB maternal milk,fresh milk na ko low fat,2 loaves whole wheat bread,1 small cup veg ganun,okra or talbos,avoid laging fried😉 and avoid red meat like beef daw kasi pg tumaas blood sugar,tendency tataas din BP,,,
Avoid nyo po any sweets anything with sugar, gestational din ako pero pina stop n un isulin kc nag normal na yung sugar level ko every othèr day nag te test ako before breakfast then 2 hrs after meal nmn s lunch and dinner more on veggies apple and pears lng ang fruits. No fud with sugar content talaga. Sana po makatulong ❤
Bawal po ang milk at fruits sa breakfast momsies. Better warm water nlng. Yung fruits dapt yung my skin like apple or pears pero atleast 2 slices lng po after lunch and diner lng pwede kainin. Kung tumataas po sugar nyo bawal po yung mga milk na pambuntis...used glucerna milk at before bedtime lng po iniiinom yung milk.
Mga mommies, is this necessary po ba mag track nito? Wala din ako Alam sa ganito.. Hindi din ako sinabihan ni OB ko.. First time mom po, 20 weeks pregnant. Gusto ko din mo matuto paano to? Gaano ka importante? Help me understand about this pls...
