From what mums around me have shared, your first appointment at KKH will likely involve quite a bit of bloodwork (they do the full screening panel) and a physical exam, so set aside some time for that. On the ultrasound side, you'll get one at the dating scan if they haven't confirmed dates yet, then typically they space them out, usually around 20 weeks for the anatomy scan and again closer to delivery, though they may do more if there's anything to monitor. The schedule does settle into a routine once you're past the first trimester, with appointments becoming more regular as you get closer to your due date. One thing a friend mentioned after going through KKH is that the wait times between booking and your first appointment can stretch out a bit (she said hers was several weeks), so don't be surprised if it feels like a slow start, but once you're in the system, things do move along. appointments are monthly, first scan is a dating scan, then another scan a few weeks after will be for first trimester screening (down syndrome screening) subsequent important scan is at 20 weeks which checks for fetal anomalies. the next important scan is 32 weeks growth scan. appointments are usually every month, some are checkpoints for blood tests/diabetes screening/fetal doptone to check baby’s heart rate
