Can parents legally control your diet? For example if you want to turn vegetarian can they force you to eat meat?

parents are also logical rational thinking human beings. if u communicate the reason and benefits of being vegetarian, I'm sure they will understand. I find the word 'legally' very funny...how can they legally control your diet!!
