Yes I will personally prefer to give. Because I am getting Her not to fast for Ramadan and to manage night shifts for 1 month. I don’t think there is a market price for such things. But for me, I would give a “bonus” of around 0.5 month to 1 month extra salary. Depending how well she performed her role.

Your house helper? Why? You’re paying her salary. And if you’re giving, any amount that you feel suitable is good enough isn’t it? It’s the intention that counts.

I wouldn’t give a lot, a token of appreciation will do. They will start expecting more in future.
