On babies na "iyakin" kuno

"Naku iyakin ang batang iyan." "Iyakin kasi na-spoiled. "Iyak nang iyak. Kainis!" Sounds familiar, mga inays? May dahilan kung bakit palaging umiiyak ang baby. Remember that this is their ONLY way of communication. This is their way of expressing their emotions especially discomfort, hunger, pain and even boredom and tiredness. Hindi ito manipulative manner na sinasadya nila or pinipilit nilang gawin. When babies cry, it only means na mayroon silang "need" na hindi nakukuha. O kaya naman may something na nasosobrahan sila, for example, over stimulation or over fatigue. Yes, napapagod din sila lalo na kung maraming visual stimuli sa paligid at hindi sila nakapag-nap man lang. A mom needs to be patient enough to know what her baby is trying to communicate. Common reasons are: gutom, soiled diaper, naiinitan/nalalamigan, inaantok, masama pakiramdam, etc. When a baby cries, your initial reaction lalo na pag pagod o puyat ka, or busy ka, eh mainis, tapos sumigaw or worse paluin pa. Tumigil ba sa pag iyak? Diba, hindi. Lalong na-stress kayo pareho. So look deeper anong rason ng pag iyak. Yes I know it's easier said than done. I lose my patience lots of time and I feel guilty afterwards. One thing I've learned is you have to know ALL reasons of crying so you can somehow avoid or lessen its triggers. #positiveparenting

Totally agree mommy! I used to listen closely to my babies’ cries coz different cries mean different needs. The sooner you know what the baby needs the sooner the baby stops crying. And once you learn how to read their body language, it won’t even reach the point they will cry since you’ve addressed their needs already. https://ph.theasianparent.com/decoding-baby-body-language
