My daughter just lost her front milk tooth. She is not even five. Is it okay for her to lose her milk teeth so early?

In general, the first teeth loss could be as early as 4 years old and as late as 7. And it would usually start with the lower centre teeth (as those are commonly the first to emerge). Then, there will likely be another round when the child is 5 years old and continue till all the permanent teeth have grown out (likely stop around 13 years old). Yes mummy..its perfectly normal. Each child is unique. They will start losing their teeth typically starting from kindergarten onward. You may wish to visit the dentist for checkup to maintain oral hygiene =) Below are 2 links which you can read. http://www.babycenter.com/0_losing-baby-teeth-what-to-expect-and-when_3658971.bc http://www.todaysparent.com/kids/school-age/baby-teeth-when-do-kids-start-losing-them/

Some children lose their first tooth as early as 4 or as late as 7. A friend of mine told me that if the child started teething earlier than most, then they are more likely to lose their teeth earlier too. There shouldn't be anything to be worried about if your daughter is not feeling any extreme pain.
