Hi, I guess, you can make her try curry if it is not too spicy for her. But remember what you feed her now is the taste that is going to stay with her forever. So, if you guys are making her eat bland food for long she will develop a taste for it and would not like anything as much and same goes with curry. So, if you make curries often at home then it is cool else if she develops a taste for it then you will have tomato it on regular basis. But no harm in making her try, but make sure it is not too spicy.

I agree with Diana. I started giving Japanese curry to my girl when she was about 1.5 years old and she loves it because it's not too spicy and sweet. By then, she would have already eaten most adult foods and I don't see anything about curry that might risk any allergy. I followed the recipe online here: https://kwgls.wordpress.com/2013/10/16/i-have-decided-to-make-my-own-japanese-curry-rouxjapanese-curry-chicken-rice/ but you can also buy instant ones at the supermarket.

Sounds good! I don't see why not. My friend's baby had her first taste of a very very mild homemade curry at 14 months. Apparently, her baby was quite fascinated by the taste. According to my friend, her baby made a funny face but opened her mouth to ask for more. My friend was pretty amused. Now, her baby is 2 years old and could take mild curry.

YES! A tinge wont be harmful. Its good to let your toodler try different taste and textures. Mine loves, curry, sambal and even chilli. It runs in my family i think. Haha. With moderation of course. I know of other kids who are unable to take anything spicy. Back to your question, big yes! Let us know after you try. Exciting experience :)

I suggest you to start with japanese curry first else normal curry will be too spicy for a toddler. Too bad my kids do not like curry even jap curry. Happy exploring!

Oh yeah sure why not? Especially, if it's not too spicy. Go for a mild one first and in small doses, just for taste, then move up as your child gets older

My lo started with sauces. He explored different sauces on his own . At 18mo he can take curry rice.

My little girl loves curry. At 3 years old she is taking mala Xiang Guo. :)

How is your lo doing now after trying curry? More accustomed?

thanks
