I would recommend getting a second opinion if you are worried about an ovarian cyst. I had lower abdominal pain and irregular periods, and my scan showed a cyst. Dr Wei-Wei-Wee Stekly diagnosed it and arranged follow-up scans to monitor it. She is my go-to doctor, and I would happily recommend her based on my experience. I appreciated that she took the time to understand my symptoms and explained what to look out for during the follow-up. It was reassuring to have someone I could return to if my symptoms changed or if I had more questions.🤍☺️

I haven't dealt with ovarian cysts myself, but a few friends have and they all went to their gynae at either KKH or a private clinic like Raffles or Gleneagles for the second opinion. The good news is most cysts are nothing to worry about and just need monitoring, so getting that peace of mind from a specialist is really worth it. You could also ask your GP for a referral to a gynae they trust, that way the waiting time is usually faster. Sending you all the best and hope the second opinion puts your mind at ease soon.
